Moong Dal Laddu is a traditional sweet treat made from moong lentils, ghee, sugar, and cardamom. These nutty, sweet balls are quick to make and packed with rich flavours. This is perfect for festivals or everyday indulgence.
200 grams moong dal (husked and split lentils) 75 grams sugar 55 grams ghee (clarified butter) 2 to 3 green cardamoms
Roast the moong dal in a heavy-bottomed pan on low heat until golden and aromatic.
Grind the roasted moong dal into a fine flour after cooling. Grind sugar and cardamom seeds together into a fine powder.
Mix the moong dal flour and powdered sugar thoroughly in a large bowl.
Melt ghee in a pan, then add it to the moong dal and sugar mixture.
Combine the mixture well and shape it into round laddus using your hands.
Let the laddus cool completely and store in an airtight container.
