Prepare Crispy Homemade Chicken Cutlet In Just A Few Steps

Homemade chicken cutlets are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Perfect for any meal, they are easy to prepare with basic ingredients, making them a family favourite. 

Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts 1 cup all-purpose flour 1 tsp granulated garlic 1 tsp onion powder 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional) 3 large eggs 2 ½ cups breadcrumbs 1 stick (8 tbsp) unsalted butter 1/2 cup olive oil Lemon wedges (optional) 

Step 1

Cut the chicken breasts in half lengthwise and pound them to 1/4 inch thickness. 

Step 2

Set up a breading station with flour, egg wash, and breadcrumb mixture.

Step 3

Dredge the chicken in flour, then coat in eggs, and cover with breadcrumbs. 

Step 4

Heat butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.  Cook the chicken until golden-brown and crispy, about 3-5 minutes per side. 

Step 5

Transfer the cooked chicken to a wire rack and keep warm in the oven. 

Step 6

Serve with lemon wedges, if desired. Enjoy your homemade crispy chicken cutlets!
