Prepare Creamy Garlic Mashed Potatoes With Simple Ingredients

Learn how to make fluffy, creamy garlic mashed potatoes at home. This simple recipe adds flavour with garlic and herbs, creating the perfect side dish for any meal.

Ingredients

500g potatoes 2 cups water ½ tsp salt ½ cup + 2 tbsp whole milk 2 tbsp butter ½ tsp finely chopped garlic ½-1 tsp dried herbs Salt and black pepper (as required)

Step 1

Peel and chop the potatoes into 1.5-2-inch cubes.

Step 2

Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender but not falling apart.

Step 3

Drain the water from the boiled potatoes completely. Heat milk, butter, and garlic together in the same pan until warm.

Step 4

Add the potatoes back into the pan and mash until smooth and fluffy.

Step 5

Mix in the herbs, and black pepper, and adjust the salt as needed before serving warm.
