Microwave, the most important kitchen appliance in the kitchen has today become essential when in hurry.  While it's often used for reheating leftovers or popping popcorn, it can come handy for cooking several common foods. Take a look at the six foods that can be cooked in the microwave:

Potato Fries 

The most loved appetizer of this generation. From adults to children, there is hardly anybody who does not like potato fries. To make this, Cut them into pieces to resemble fries. Coat the strip with salt, masalas and oil. Place them in microwave safe plate. Microwave on high power for 4-5 minutes. 

Scrambled Eggs 

Commonly eaten food, scrambled eggs can also be cooked in the microwave. Whisk together the eggs, milk, salt and pepper and add desired toppings. Microwave the mixture on high power for 30 seconds. Repeat the whole process for 30 seconds intervals. 

Mug Mac And Cheese 

To make this dish, all you need is elbow macaroi, shredded cheddar cheese, water, milk, salt and pepper. In a microwave bowl, combine macaroni and water. Microwave for 2 mins. Add milk, shredded cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper and microwave for 1 min. Let it cool ad serve. 

Steamed Fish Fillet 

This is one of the healthy dishes you can have when you’re on a diet.To make this, add he fish fillet in a microwave safe bowl. Sprinkle with seasoning and herbs. Microwave on high power till the fish soften.

Oatmeal 

First microwave oats and milk/water. Stir every 30 seconds for every 2-3 mins. Sweeten your milk and  add toppings. Allow it to cool. 

Mug Brownie 

As the name suggests, this brownie is cooked in mug. In a microwave safe bowl, whisk together melted butter, sugar, cocoa powder, flour, salt, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Microwave on high power for 15-30 seconds. Check in between. Add desired toppings.
