A common North Indian meal made with paneer (Indian cottage cheese) cooked in a creamy tomato-based sauce is called paneer makhani, also known as paneer butter masala.
200g paneer, cut into cubes 2 large tomatoes, chopped 1 onion, chopped 2-3 garlic cloves, minced 1 inch ginger, grated 1/2 cup cream 2 tbsp butter 1 tsp cumin seeds 1 tsp coriander powder 1/2 tsp turmeric powder 1/2 tsp red chili powder 1/2 tsp garam masala powder Salt, to taste Coriander leaves, chopped, for garnish
Take a pan and heat butter. cumin seeds and chopped onion, garlic, and ginger and sauté.
Now Add the chopped tomatoes to the pan and cook unit they are soft. Add in the coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and garam masala.
Mix well. Add the paneer cubes to the pan and coat them well. Add in cream and Cook until the sauce thickens.
Now Add salt to taste and mix well. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with naan or rice.
