Poha idli is one of the healthiest and quickest breakfast or snack alternatives for people who are watchful of what they eat. This recipe is a must-try if guests keep coming to your home unannounced.
1.5 cups rice rava 1 cup poha 1 cup curd ¾ tsp fruit salt 1 tsp salt 2 cups of water
In a grinder, blend poha into a coarse mixture and mix it with curd.
Add rava to this mixture along with some water. Keep it aside for the ingredients to ferment and absorb water.
After 30 minutes, add salt and fruit salt to the mix. You can also temper the batter at this stage.
Grease idli moulds with either ghee or vegetable oil.
Pour batter into the idli moulds and cook idlis for 15 minutes.
Serve poha idli with coconut chutney or tomato chutney.
