Peanut chikkis are famous but pista chikki is a fun twist to the traditional recipe. They are slightly salty and taste refreshing. This year, prepare the treat at home and serve during the harvest festival celebration.
⅓ cup crushed pista 5 tsp ghee 1.5 cups jaggery 1 cup whole pista ¼ tsp rose water ½ cup slivered almonds
Melt jaggery with ghee until you have a smooth solution.
In another pan, roast dry fruits until they are aromatic.
Combine roasted dry fruits with jaggery solution.
When the mixture is still runny, spread it on a steel plate.
Let the chikki cool off for at least a couple of hours.
Cut the chikki into the desired shapes and enjoy.
