Not drinking enough water isn't the sole reason for dehydration. It can be caused by consuming certain food types. Too much sodium, sugar, and protein can deplete the water levels in the body. Here is a list of 9 foods that can strip you of water and leave you dehydrated.
Beets' high potassium concentration aids fluid elimination. After drinking your favourite beet juice, you may need to use the toilet more regularly.
It is comparable to asparagus in that both are rich in asparagine and are used medicinally as diuretics. Too much artichoke may change the water balance.
