Japanese persimmons are one of the tastiest fruits exported worldwide. It is sweet but very similar to orange, and it is eaten with the peel. Try to make a sweet pickle out of persimmons with a few easy steps to make a great condiment.

Ingredients

4-5 Fuyu persimmons 1 cup rice vinegar 1 cup water 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1 tablespoon salt 1 cinnamon stick 4-5 whole cloves 1-inch ginger Red pepper flakes

Step 1

Mix rice vinegar, water, sugar, salt, red pepper flakes, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and ginger.

Boil the pickling liquid and cool it to room temperature.

Add the persimmons to the jars and let them sit for at least 24 hours before tasting.
