1.5 cups flour 1 cup sugar 3/4 cup oil (refined sunflower oil) 4 large eggs 2 tsp baking powder 2 tsp vanilla extract 1/2 tsp salt 2/3 to 1 cup walnuts
Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a 9-inch cake pan. Sift the flour and baking powder together and set aside.
Beat the eggs and vanilla extract until light and frothy. Add the sugar and beat again.
Pour in the oil and continue beating until well combined.
Sift in the flour, baking powder, and salt into the egg mixture. Mix gently. Fold in the walnuts carefully to avoid overmixing.
Pour the batter and bake for 35-40 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool the cake in the pan before removing.
