Indulge in the richness of homemade hot chocolate, combining cocoa powder and chocolate chips for a smooth, creamy delight. Ready in just minutes, it's the perfect warming treat for monsoon.
4 cups milk (whole or 2%) ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder ¼ cup granulated sugar ½ cup bittersweet or semisweet chocolate chips ¼ tsp pure vanilla extract
Heat the mixture over medium to medium-low heat, whisking frequently.
Continue whisking until the mixture is warm, but not boiling.
Add chocolate chips and whisk constantly until fully melted. Whisk in the vanilla extract once the chocolate is evenly distributed.
Serve the hot chocolate immediately for the best flavour.
