Pear Cider: The Perfect Cocktail For All Seasons

Ever thought about a cocktail with pear? Sweet, tarty and absolutely refreshing!

Ingredients

2  pears ¼ cup apple cider ½ cup soda water 1 cup water ½ cup of honey 40 ml bourbon 4-5 fresh sage leaves Cinnamon and brown sugar to sprinkle

Step 1

Peel the pears and cut them into small pieces. Transfer them to a blender to make a smooth puree.

Step 2

Boil pear puree, water, honey and sage in a saucepan. Reduce heat and cook for 4-5 minutes. Remove the saucepan from heat and let it come to room temperature.

Step 3

Now, strain the pear syrup through a sieve to separate the remaining solid materials. 

Step 4

For the cocktail, pour bourbon and 2 tablespoons of pear sage syrup into a tall glass and stir.

Then add soda and a glass of cider to the glass and stir. Add ice to a glass, sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar. 

Step 6

Serve garnished with sliced pear and sage leaves.
