Derived from the Persian words ‘Nav’ and ‘Roz’ which literally translates to ‘new day,’ Persi new year is believed to be observed by the Iranians and Zoroastrians for the past 3,000 years. This year, celebrate the new year with Parsi Sev.

After 2-3 minutes, check if the water is absorbed and the vermicelli is cooked properly. Note, if the water is not absorbed and the vermicelli is still a bit raw, reduce the heat to allow it to cook, but not soggy.
