The Indian-American celebrity enjoys eating desi food every now then. Be it her grandmother’s chutneys and pickles or curries, she loves them all.
In one of her interviews, she had expressed that a bowl of savoury, vegetable-loaded khichdi is her go-to comfort food. This is also her weekly Sunday meal.
The classic Indian street food, pani puri or golgappas made it to Padma’s mukbang video where she was seen digging into the mini stuffed puris.
From curd rice to tamarind rice and chole, Padma is a fan of most rice combinations in Indian food, as seen in a reel shared on her social media.
The cookery show host shared a recipe of a dates and imli chutney from her grandmother’s kitchen on her Instagram handle which reminds her of her childhood.
Currently in London, the cookbook author picked up Indian snacks like chikki, chips and elaichi biscuits and rated them out of ten. The Lays hot crisps topped the list.
In a reel, she had shared the step-by-step method of making nimbu ka achaar aka lemon pickle and it was the desi-est thing we saw on her feed.
