Gujarati methi thepla is a nutritious travel partner for many Indians. It has a long shelf life and facilitates you to enjoy home-cooked meals, especially in places where it’s hard to find Indian food.
½ tsp turmeric, red chilli 1 cup wheat flour 1 cup fenugreek leaves ½ tsp cumin, green chillies 1 tbsp oil Salt to taste 1-inch ginger paste ½ tsp coriander powder Water as needed 4-5 tbsp curd ¼ cup besan, bajra, jowar
Take a parat and combine all the flour in it.
Clean fenugreek leaves and chop them. Add them to the flour.
Add all the herbs, spices, and salt to the mix and knead it into a soft dough.
Let the dough rest for 10-15 minutes before splitting it into multiple spheres.
Roll the balls into a thin flat disc and spread it on a hot skillet.
Using ghee or oil, roast methi theplas and enjoy them with curries and pickles.
