2 oranges (finely chopped) 1 lemon (finely chopped) 2 cups water 2 cups granulated sugar

Place the fruits in a saucepan along with the water and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Turn off the heat, cover, and let the mixture sit for 24 hours.

The next day, place the saucepan over medium heat and return to a simmer until the mixture is reduced by half. Add sugar and stir until dissolved.

Simmer again for about 15-20 more minutes until thick. Let it cool completely, then refrigerate in an airtight container for up to six weeks.
