If you are thinking about what to add as an accompaniment for your side dishes and snacks, then why not serve onion achar? Onion achar is perfect for palate cleansing, giving you the kick to enjoy your food.
1 large onion 1/2 cup vinegar 1/4 cup sugar 1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder 1/4 teaspoon mustard powder Salt to taste
Combine onion, vinegar, sugar, red chilli powder, mustard powder, and salt.
Stir the ingredients together until the onion is evenly coated with the marinade.
Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Serve the onion achar as a side dish or condiment.
