Quinoa being the super millet, and khichdi being the go-to one-pot meal when you want to eat something light, quinoa khichdi is just perfect in so many ways. Why don’t you try making it with this easy recipe?
1 cup quinoa, rinsed 1 cup toor dal 1 onion 1 tablespoon ghee 1 inch piece ginger, grated 1 teaspoon cumin seeds 1 teaspoon turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder Salt to taste Water as needed
Rinse quinoa and toor dal.
Heat some ghee in a pressure cooker and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add onion and ginger.
Stir in turmeric powder, red chilli powder, and salt. Cook till fragrant.
Add quinoa, dal, and water covering 2 inches of the cooker. Pressure cook for 20 minutes.
Turn off the heat and let the cooker release. Garnish with ghee and serve hot.
