Onam Sadya which will start from August 20 this year, is an annual Indian harvest festival celebrated by the Hindus of Kerala. The festival is accompanied by sweet and savory dishes. Among them, Kerala-style yam chips gain attention. If you’re trying to make it at home, follow this recipe:
1 piece chena/yam ½ cup besan A handful of dry red chillies A pinch of red chilli powder 1 tsp salt Curry leave Oil
Chop chena into small pieces and keep it aside. Make a batter of besan and dip the chena/yam into it. Fry them.
