Soothe your throat and keep yourself warm this season with a cup of warm kadha spiked with Old Monk rum for a fuzzy weekend at home.
3 cups water 30 ml Old Monk rum 2-inch piece grated ginger 1 teaspoon turmeric powder 3 cloves 1 stick cinnamon 1 teaspoon fennel 1 star anise 4 tulsi leaves 4 black peppercorns 1 tablespoon jaggery
Add the water and whole spices to a saucepan and simmer for 10-12 minutes.
Once the water reduces by half, add the jaggery powder and stir to combine.
Turn off the heat and add the turmeric powder and rum.
Mix well using a spoon, strain and drink while warm.
