Idli, a South Indian staple, is a popular breakfast choice across the globe. Traditionally made with rice, you can give it a healthier spin by making oats idli. Here’s an easy recipe to make at home.
1 cup rolled oats 1/2 cup semolina 1/4 cup urad dal 1/4 cup poha 1 tablespoon fenugreek seeds 1/4 cup coriander leaves 1 green chilli 1 inch ginger Salt to taste Water as required
Mix and soak rolled oats, semolina, urad dal, poha, and fenugreek seeds overnight.
Drain and grind the mixture into a smooth batter.
Add chopped salt, coriander leaves, green chilli, and grated ginger. Let it ferment.
Grease idli moulds and pour in the fermented batter. Steam for 10-12 minutes.
Remove the idlis from the moulds and serve with sambar and coconut chutney.
