Oats dosa is a healthy, crispy South Indian dish made from ground oats, rice flour, and semolina. It is a nutritious twist to traditional dosa full of fibre and essential nutrients. It's quick to prepare and perfect for a wholesome breakfast or snack with chutney or sambar.
1 cup rolled oats 1/4 cup rice flour 1/4 cup semolina (rava) 1/2 cup yoghurt 1 tsp cumin seeds 1-2 green chillies 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves Salt Water Oil
Grind the oats in a blender to make a fine powder. In a mixing bowl, combine the oats flour, rice flour, semolina, and salt.
Add yoghurt and water gradually to form a smooth, thin batter. Let it rest for 15-20 minutes.
Mix in cumin seeds, green chillies, and chopped coriander leaves into the batter. Adjust the water if needed to maintain a thin consistency.
Heat a non-stick pan or dosa tawa over medium heat. Grease lightly with oil. Pour a ladleful of batter and spread it out thinly in a circular motion. Drizzle a bit of oil around the edges.
Let the dosa cook for 2-3 minutes until the edges turn golden and crisp. Flip and cook the other side briefly if desired.
Serve hot with coconut chutney or sambar for a delicious and healthy meal.
