Nutritious Jowar Chilla Recipe For A Millet-Based Snack

Jowar, also known as sorghum is a nutritious millet that can be incorporated into regional snacks and sweets. To make a healthy snack, you can prepare jowar chilla with this recipe.

Ingredients

1 cup jowar flour 1/2 cup water 1/4 cup chopped onion 1/4 cup chopped green chillies 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder Salt to taste Oil for greasing

Step 1

Mix jowar flour, chopped onion, chillies, water, and all the spices.

Step 2

Once you get a consistent batter, heat a pan and grease it with oil.

Step 3

Pour a ladleful of batter onto the pan, spreading it into a circle.

Step 4

Cook till the chilla is golden brown on each side. Serve with a chutney.
