North Indian Lauki Ke Pakode: Celebrate Monsoon Magic With This Crunchy Snack

Enjoy these crispy and flavourful lauki ke pakode, perfect for a rainy day snack. These pakode are made with bottle gourd and spices, offering a unique taste.

Ingredients

1 medium lauki (bottle gourd), grated 1 cup besan (gram flour) 1 tsp cumin seeds 1 tsp red chilli powder 1/2 tsp turmeric powder Salt to taste Oil for fryingte dipping sauce

Step 1

In a bowl, mix grated lauki, besan, cumin seeds, red chilli powder, turmeric, and salt.

Step 2

Add a little water to form a thick batter, and adjust the consistency accordingly.

Step 3

Now, take a pan and heat the oil over medium heat.

Step 4

Drop spoonfuls of batter into hot oil, frying until golden and crispy.

Step 5

Remove the pakodas and drain on paper towels.

Step 6

Serve hot with mint chutney or ketchup. Sprinkle chaat masala on top.
