No-Onion No-Garlic Paneer Butter Masala Recipe For Sattvic Meals

Ingredients

3 tomatoes, roughly chopped 2 tbsp butter 1 cup milk ¼ tsp sugar salt to taste ¼ cup cashew paste 9 cubes panner 3 pods cardamom 1-inch cinnamon 1 bay leaf ½ tsp cumin 1-inch ginger, finely chopped 1 green chilli, slit ¼ tsp turmeric ½ tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder ½ tsp coriander powder ¼ tsp garam masala ½ tsp Kasuri methi

Step 1

Heat kadai and add 2 tbsp butter. Saute cumin seeds, cinnamon, and bay leaf till it turns aromatic. Then add ginger and green chilli and mix well.

Step 2

Add tomato puree and cook until oil comes out from the sides. Now include turmeric, chilli powder, coriander powder, sugar, and salt. Saute on low flame.

Step 3

After a minute, throw in cashew paste and milk while stirring continuously. Add lightly roasted paneer cubes to the masala.

Step 4

Cover and let simmer for 5 minutes till paneer absorbs all the flavour. Now add gara, masala and kasuri meti and mix well.

Step 5

Serve paneer butter masala with roti or rice.
