Coconut oil is used in cooking, body care, haircare, and skincare. It is an elixir that benefits your health no matter how you use it. If your pantry does not have coconut oil, here is how you can make it at home.
7 cups unfiltered water 5 mature coconuts
Crack open coconuts, extract the meat and keep the water aside.
Use a blender to shred coconut meat. Add some water so that the blend looks creamy.
Strain this creamy liquid using a cheesecloth. Squeeze it to ensure all the liquid is in the bowl.
Heat this coconut milk in a heavy bottom pan on a low flame.
Water will evaporate, crumbly texture will begin to form, and oil will start separating.
Separate solids and oil using a strainer and use freshly prepared coconut oil for various purposes.
