Nitin Gadkari is an Indian politician who is participating in the general elections in 2024 on behalf of the BJP. Born and brought up in Maharashtra, the minister had shared a fondness of regional cuisine in the past interviews. Here are a few Maharashtrian dishes that he loves to relish.
The minister has shared that he often loves to indulge in vada pav whenever he is in Mumbai. The deep-fried vada placed between a bun is the most popular snack in the city.
Another popular Maharashtrian snack that Nitin Gadkari likes to devour is mirchi bhaja. Due to the spiciness and deep-frying process, he prefers to eat it in moderation.
The minister hails from Nagpur, Maharashtra, which is famous for oranges. The fruit is used by many sweet shops to make santra barfi, which is healthy and delicious.
Much like most Maharashtrians, Nitin Gadkari also likes pav bhaji. Pavs served with a spicy and runny mixture of vegetables are a tasty delight for many from North to South.
During an interview in the past, the minister shared that he always loved to relish roadside bhel puri in Mumbai. Fluffed rice is mixed with sev, vegetables, chutney, and lemon juice.
It might come as a surprise, but Nitin Gadkari often indulges in orange soup. It is often made at his home in Nagpur and helps him to stay healthy.
