This cake is going to be the star of your New Year's party thanks to its rich flavour and incredibly moist texture. The traditional pound cake is fantastic but this cream cheese version takes the deliciousness to a whole other level. Here's a recipe for you to try.

1 1/2 cups softened butter 225 gm softened cream cheese 3 cups granulated sugar 6 eggs, room temperature 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 3 cups all-purpose flour

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit (163 degrees Celsius) and grease a Bundt cake pan.
Cream the butter and cream cheese together until creamy.

Gradually add the sugar, pounding until smooth.
Add the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.

Mix in the flour gradually until barely mixed.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Cool for 15 minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack to cool fully.
Before serving, dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with a glaze.
