Nepali Chana Fry: A Perfect Snack For Monsoon Evenings

Experience the vibrant flavours of Nepal with this Nepali Chana Fry, a spicy and delicious chickpea dish that's perfect as a snack or side dish. 

Ingredients

Boiled black channa - 1 cup Oil - 2 tsp Onion chopped - 1 small Green chilli chopped - 2 no. Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp Salt - as needed Red chilli powder - 1 tsp Garam masala - 1 tsp Dhaniya powder - 1 tsp Jeera powder - 1 tsp Coriander chopped Lemon wedge 

Step 1 

Soak the chickpeas overnight and boil them in a pressure cooker for 5-6 whistles. 

Step 2

Heat a kadhai and add oil. Fry the chopped onion until golden, then add the boiled chickpeas. Mix well and add salt, red chilli powder, garam masala, dhaniya powder, and jeera powder. 

Step 3

Toss everything well, then add the ginger garlic paste and mix again. Once slightly cooked, add green chillies and chopped coriander. Remove from heat and serve with fresh onions, coriander, and a lemon wedge on top!
