Whether it’s a weekend or weekday, summer calls for enjoying a refreshing drink that replenishes electrolytes and offers respite from heat exhaustion. If you are tired of traditional beverages, try an orange iced tea recipe.
5 teaspoons black tea 8 oranges 10-15 fresh mint leaves 3 tablespoons rock sugar 5-litre water
Add the juice of 6 oranges to a pan and add cups of water and sugar to it. Bring the mixture to a boil.
After removing it from the heat, add tea to a strainer. Let the flavour of tea infuse in it for at least 5 minutes.
Allow the mixture to cool off at room temperature for about an hour. Refrigerate it for 3-4 hours as well.
In a pitcher, add slices of oranges and mint leaves. Add ice cubes and pour the chilled concoction into it.
Mix everything and start preparing glasses. Add ice cubes in the glasses and fresh mint leaves too.
Pour the orange iced tea into glasses and serve to guests. You can also enjoy it with lunch or dinner.
