Thalipeeth is like thepla and paratha versions in Maharashtra. It is easy to prepare and tastes delicious. Here is the recipe for onion thalipeeth that pairs well with a hot cup of tea, chutney, or raita.

Ingredients

½ cup besan and rice flour ½ cup wheat and bajra flour ¼ tsp turmeric and coriander powder ½ tsp cumin and carom seeds 1 cup jowar flour Salt to taste 2 tbsp sesame seeds 1 thinly sliced onion 2 tbsp chopped coriander Water for kneading

Step 1

Combine the flour in a large bowl in the mentioned quantity.

Step 2

Add spices to the mix and knead into a soft but firm dough.

Step 3

Keep the dough aside for 10-15 minutes and divide it into uniformly sized spheres.

Step 4

Roll the dough, add sliced onion and coriander leaves, seal, and roll again.

Step 5

Sprinkle sesame seeds on top and press with your hands. Roast the thalipeeth on a hot pan.

Step 6

Once both sides are roasted, serve the thalipeeth with pickle, chutney, and curd.
