If you fast during Navratri, you need snacks to help you stay energetic throughout the day. Among several ingredients in your pantry, dry fruits and nuts are the healthiest and easy to work with. Note these nut-based snack ideas.
Roast almond flour in ghee and add jaggery to it. Add a few more nuts and shape the mixture into small laddus.
Combine grated coconut with honey or maple syrup and a cup of crushed dry fruits and nuts. Spread it on a plate, freeze it, and cut the mixture into bars.
You can either buy chikki or make it at home. Cook crushed peanuts in a smooth paste of jaggery. Freeze it and cut it into desired shapes.
Blend pistachios with figs and prepare a sweet mixture. Spread a thin layer on a plate and gradually roll into bite-sized rolls.
Cook crushed walnuts with dates. This naturally sweet mixture can be converted into bite-sized balls and consumed while fasting.
Roast makhana or fox nuts in a heavy-bottom kadhai. Sprinkle salt, black pepper, and red chilli powder. Enjoy it while fasting.
Prepare a creamy mixture of coconut and cashews. Keep some grated coconut aside for garnishing. This sweet is a powerhouse of energy.
