Navratri 2023: Vrat Wali Kele Ki Sabzi Recipe For Fasting Days

Navratri is almost here and if you'll be fasting during the festival, why not do it in style? Here's a yummy raw banana sabzi to make for a wholesome delicious dinner.

Ingredients

3-4 raw bananas 1/2 teaspoon whole cumin seeds 1/2 teaspoon roasted cumin powder 3-4 green chillies 1/2 teaspoon Golmarich (black pepper) powder 1 big tomato 2-3 tablespoons ghee Rock salt to taste

Step 1

Begin by peeling the bananas, then wash and slice them. Also, chop the tomato and green chillies.

Step 2

Add ghee to a pan then add the whole cumin seeds and green chillies. When the cumin seeds begin to crackle, add the sliced bananas and sauté for 3-4 minutes.

Step 3

Add the tomatoes and rock salt, mixing everything well.

Step 4

Continue to sauté for 2-3 minutes, then sprinkle in the black pepper powder and roasted cumin powder. Stir to combine.

Step 5

Add some water and allow the mixture to cook. When the liquid starts to thicken, turn off the heat. Serve the dish with hot water chestnut or buckwheat flour puris.
