Navratri 2023: Shakarkandi Tikki For Fasting Days

Ingredients

4 sweet potatoes 1 tbsp Kuttu atta 1/2 tsp aamchur 1 tsp cumin powder 1 tsp red chilli powder Rock Salt or sendha namak to taste Oil for frying 2-3 chopped green chilies

Step 1

First, rinse sweet potatoes in water. Then, roast or boil them until properly cooked.

Step 2

When cooked, peel them and mash them. Make sure there are no lumps.

Step 3

In a bowl, add these mashed potatoes along with all the spices mentioned except oil. Mix everything.

Step 4

Shape these tikkis and pan-fry them with a little oil. Cook from both side.

Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with a vrat-friendly chutney.
