A buttery and mildly sweet halwa made with four ingredients, this simple recipe is the ideal blend of taste and texture. Make this halwa to serve to anyone that’s fasting or eat when you crave something sweet.

2 medium-sized raw papayas 3 tablespoons ghee 4 tablespoons jaggery/raw sugar 6-7 almonds, chopped

Heat the ghee in a pan while you peel and grate the papayas.

Add the grated papaya to the ghee and sauté for 10-15 minutes, until the juices from the fruit are released.

Once the mixture softens, add the sugar and continue to stir for another 10-15 minutes, until the ghee separates from the mixture.

Add the sliced almonds and stir well to combine. Serve warm.
