Made with sattvik ingredients and still packed with lots of flavour and heat, this Farali Chutney is a must-have during Navratri 2023 especially if you are keeping a vrat. Loaded with coriander, mint, peanuts and chillies, this chutney can turn any vrat dish into a delicious treat. Check out the recipe.

2 cups coriander leaves 1 cup mint leaves ½ cup peanuts, roasted ½ tsp ginger 3-4 green chillies, chopped Rock salt, to taste ½ tsp sugar 1 lemon, juiced 1 tsp water ½ tbsp ghee ½ tsp cumin seeds

Wash and clean the coriander and mint leaves thoroughly, then place them in a mixer jar.

Add the peanuts, ginger, chillies, rock salt, sugar, lemon juice and water, and blend everything together.

If the chutney is too coarse and thick, add more water and lemon juice, and blitz it again.

Transfer the chutney into a bowl. Heat ghee in a small pan, add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
Pour the cumin seeds tempering on the Farali Chutney, mix well and enjoy.
