Available in every nook and corner, pav bhaji is a yummy combination of a mashed potato, cauliflower bhaji with soft buns called pav.
The flattened rice dish that is made by sautéed sliced onions in oil and mixing it with the soaked rice is a star of the Maharashtrian breakfast spread.
A street snack cum breakfast dish, vada pav is a delectable pairing of a crispy, deep-fried potato patty sandwiched between a sliced pav, slathered with chutneys.
A round, paratha-like breakfast bread from the region, thalipeeth is made from a host of flours like jowar, bajra and ragi and cooked on a tawa.
Missal refers to a spicy sprouts-based curry that is garnished with thick sev. This gravy is combined with pav to form a wholesome breakfast dish.
