Naati Fish Kebab Recipe, A Bengaluru Snack To Savour

Tangy and delicious, these fish kebabs are a favourite snack and perfect to dazzle at your next party. Here’s a simple recipe to make them at home.

Ingredients

2-inch piece of Ginger 2 tbsp Red Chilli Powder 1 tsp Turmeric Powder ½ tsp Black Pepper Powder 1 tsp Garam Masala Powder 1.5 tsp Salt 2 tbsp Gram Flour (Besan) 2 tbsp Corn Flour or Starch 1 tsp Coconut Oil 1.5 tbsp Plain Vinegar 1 Egg 1 kg Fish Steaks Vegetable Oil for deep frying

Step 1

Crush the ginger and garlic in a mortar and pestle, then add them to a plate or bowl.

Step 2

Add all the other marinade ingredients, mix well to form a thick paste and Apply the marinade evenly on all sides of the fish steaks.

Step 3

Refrigerate and marinate the fish for a minimum of one hour, up to four hours, allowing the flavors to penetrate the fish.

Step 4

Heat oil in a pan, add the marinated fish steaks, and let them cook without disturbance for the first two minutes.

Step 5

Gently turn the fish and cook for an additional two minutes on the other side. Drain the fried fish on paper towels and serve immediately for the best crunch
