Munch On Crispy Banana Chips At Home Using This Recipe

A great evening snack option to pair with tea or coffee, homemade banana chips are versatile enough to make and enjoy fresh. Season them with any kind of spices that you like and switch to add more variety, from time to time.

INGREDIENTS

2 large raw bananas 1 teaspoon turmeric powder 1 teaspoon black pepper powder 1 teaspoon red chilli powder Salt, to taste Coconut oil, for frying

STEP 1

Oil your hands thoroughly before peeling and slicing the raw bananas, using a mandoline.

STEP 2

Dunk the slices in a large pot of water with a bit of turmeric powder in it.

STEP 3

Heat the coconut oil while you drain the slices and dab them with a clean cloth, until dry.

STEP 4

Fry the slices in batches until the edges begin to crisp and drain on a kitchen towel.

STEP 5

Combine the black pepper, red chilli powder and salt in a bowl before sprinkling on the chips when still hot.

STEP 6

Cool completely before storing in an air-tight container for up to 2 weeks.
