The former Indian captain of the men’s cricket team is a foodie just like any other person. Apart from his love for sport and bikes, Mahendra Sing Dhoni also loves to indulge in his favourite dishes while keeping his fitness in check. Here are some of the dishes that he loves to indulge in.

Gajar Ka Halwa

You won’t believe it, but Mahi has a sweet tooth. Among his favourite sweet dishes is gajar ka halwa, a traditional Indian sweet that is mostly enjoyed during winter.

Butter Chicken

MS Dhoni has a specific approach to eating butter chicken. He would either just pair gravy with tandoori naan or give up chapati and eat butter chicken for a meal.

Simple Meals

Keeping his health in mind, Dhoni likes to keep it simple with home-cooked meals. He would indulge in a wholesome thali comprising dal, rice, roti, and vegetables or meat.

Kheer

Another sweet dish that Mahi enjoys with gusto is kheer. Among traditional recipes, rice kheer and sevai kheer are quite delicious, especially when topped with dry fruits and saffron.

Salad

Being a cricketer and an army personnel, Dhoni has to take care of his health, but for that, he does not compromise with taste. He enjoys a bowl of fibre and nutrient-loaded salad.

Among non-veg indulgences, Mahi also likes spiced chicken tikka made using boneless pieces of meat. It is among the popular delicacies in North India, especially in Punjab.
