Cheese made from coagulating milk and separating curds from whey has been cherished by cultures around the world through centuries. Cheese comes in different textures, flavours and aromas, making it a versatile ingredient that appeals to a wide range of palates. Different types of cheese taste best with their unique pairings. Check out some of the cheese and their pairings: 

Mozzarella 

It is made from buffalo or cow milk and has a creamy texture which can be paired with tomatoes and grilled vegetables.  It can also make addition to street-style mince cutlets or as a base for pakoras

Camembert 

This is a soft cheese thick and velvety in nature made from cow milk and has an earthy flavour which can be paired well with baguette, walnuts, dark chocolates and wine. 

American

A mix of cow milk, milk fats and whey protein, this cheese is semi soft and creamy in nature. It can be paired well with crusty bread, tomatoes, bacon ad much more.

Cheddar 

This cheese is made from cow milk. It has a crumby texture, and can be paired with cherries, apples, crackers, amber ale, or mead, bun maska and vada pav

Parmesan 

This cheese is also made from cow milk and can be added to a variety of dishes such as chicken and prosciutto or accompanied with bottle of wine or spiced nuts. 

Roquefort

This is a blue-veined, moist and soft cheese made from sheep. It has a sweet caramel and pungent taste that goes well with honey, meat, apples and spice wine. 

Chevre

Goat milk is used for making this tangy, creamy and plump cheese. It is accompanied well with whole wheat bread, baguette, apples, almonds and grape wine.

Brie

This soft and creamy French cheese pairs wonderfully with sliced apples or pears, crusty bread, and a drizzle of honey. It also complements sparkling wines, Chardonnay, and light-bodied red wines.

Gouda

This Dutch cheese with a nutty and slightly sweet taste is fantastic with sliced almonds, dried apricots, and whole-grain crackers. It pairs excellently with beers like IPA or lagers and medium-bodied red wines and also non-vegetarian Indian dishes like malai kofta or chicken kathi rolls.

Paneer

Paneer is a soft, unaged cheese commonly used in Indian dishes. It pairs well with a variety of vegetables, making it a key ingredient in dishes like Paneer Tikka and Palak Paneer (spinach with paneer). It also works well in spicy curry sauces and can be grilled or fried.
