Cheese potato samosas are a delicious and satisfying snack that are perfect for any occasion. Make these quick and easy samosas and enjoy with family and friends.
2 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 tsp salt 1/4 tsp ajwain (carom seeds) 4 tbsp vegetable oil Water as needed 2 large potatoes, boiled and mashed 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella) 1/4 cup chopped onions 1/4 cup chopped cilantro 1 tsp grated ginger 1 tsp cumin seeds 1 tsp coriander powder 1/2 tsp turmeric powder Salt and pepper to taste Oil for frying
Take a big bowl, add in the flour, salt, ajwain, and 4 tbsp vegetable oil. Mix well. Now knead it to a dough.
Cover and rest the dough and set aside. Now prepare the filling. In a pan, heat oil and add cumin seeds.
Now add in onions and sauté until cooked. Add grated ginger, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt, and pepper.
Now add the mashed potatoes, shredded cheese, and chopped coriander. Mix well until the cheese is melted.
Combine everything well, cook it down. Make thin sheets of the dough,Cut the sheet in half and make a cone shape by sealing the edges with water.
Fill the cone with the prepared potato-cheese mixture and seal the top edge with water.
Take a deep pan, heat oil and fry the samosa until the are golden brown. Serve with your favorite chutney or dip.
