Mosdeng Serma: A Spicy Tomato Chutney From Tripura

This simple and quick chutney made with tomato and flavourful spices can go well with rice as well as roti.

Ingredients

1 tbsp mustard oil, 3 tomatoes, 1 onion (finely chopped), 3-4 garlic cloves, salt to taste, 1 tbsp red chilli powder, 1/4 cup water

Step 1

Heat oil in a pan then add the chopped onion and garlic. Sauté until translucent.

Step 2

Now add the chopped tomatoes. Prepare a paste of water with red chilli powder. Add this to the pan along with salt.

Step 3

Let this cook on slow for 10-15 minutes and serve with rice.
