Moong Dal Soup:  A Treasure Trove Of Nutrients

Moong Dal is a treasure of plant-based protein and fibre, both of which are crucial for a wholesome meal, full of nutrients. This soup is also good for digestion.

Ingredients

1 cup of moong dal 1/2 cup onions, chopped 2 garlic cloves, chopped ½ inch ginger 1 tsp black pepper powder 1/2 tsp hing 1/2 tsp ghee

Step 1

In a pressure cooker add soaked moong dal. Add onions and garlic cloves followed by ginger.

Step 2

Now add the masalas- black pepper powder, hing and salt for taste.

Step 3

Add ghee, water and salt as required. Pressure cook the soup for 8-10 minutes.

Step 4

Serve with a dash of lemon juice and freshly chopped coriander leaves.
