Moong Dal Poha: A Quick And Healthy Breakfast

Made with flattened rice, poha is a very common breakfast in India. Add a healthy touch to your favourite breakfast by adding green grams to it.

Ingredients

1 cup split green gram (skinless), 1 cup flattened rice, ½ tbsp oil, 1/2 tbsp mustard seeds, 1/2 tsp cumin seeds, 1 green chilli, 5-6 curry leaves, 2 onions, ¼ tsp turmeric powder, salt to taste, 1 pinch of sugar, 2 tbsp fresh coriander leaves

Step 1

Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add mustard seeds and cumin seeds and let them splutter. Add green chilli and curry leaves and sauté for half a minute.

Step 2

Add onions, turmeric powder and sauté for half a minute. Add green gram and mix well and sauté for two minutes. Add poha and mix well and cook till heated through.

Step 3

Add salt and sugar and mix well. Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves.
