When you serve tea, you always look for healthy snacks to pair with the hot beverage. One of the best munching partners with chai is moong dal namkeen. Here is an easy guide to make it at home.

Ingredients

Oil for deep frying 1 cup moong dal ½ tsp chaat masala ½ tsp Kashmiri red chilli Salt to taste

Step 1

Soak moong dal for 4-5 hours so it softens a bit. Drain the excess water.

Step 2

Spread lentils on a dry towel for 30 minutes.

Step 3

Add to a net or stainless steel sieve and fry it in batches.

Step 4

Once the grains turn crispy, remove the lentils from the oil, and spread them on a tissue paper.

Step 5

Add salt and spices according to your taste.

Step 6

Store the moong dal namkeen in an airtight jar and enjoy.
