Moong dal kachori is a delicious delight to indulge in for breakfast and evening snack. While it’s a street food, you can easily replicate its recipe at home. Here is a quick and easy guide for you to make this kachori at home.
3 tbsp ghee 2 cup maida ½ cup moong dal 1 tsp chilli & coriander powder ¼ tsp ginger & turmeric powder Salt to taste ¼ cup besan 1 tsp crushed cumin & fennel seeds 1 tsp amachur & garam masala A pinch of hing
Rinse and soak moong dal for a couple of hours. Drain water and blend into a coarse paste.
Add ghee, asafoetida, fennel seeds, cumin seeds, and salt to taste the paste.
Saute the paste quickly on low flame with powdered spices. Once spices are aromatic, add besan.
Roast the ingredients again and keep aside to cool off. Meanwhile, knead the dough for kachori.
Stuff small dough spheres with the lentil mix and roll evenly into circles.
Deep-fry kachoris and serve them with chutney and sauce.
