Moong dal kachori is the perfect solution to your cravings during snack time. It is also a nutritious and delicious dish you can prepare while hosting a brunch over a weekend. Here is how to make it.
2 chopped green chillies 1 cup maida Water as needed 100 grams of moong dal Salt to taste A pinch of hing 1 tsp fennel, coriander powder ¼ tsp garam masala 2 tbsp coriander leaves ¼ tsp red chilli powder ½ tsp ginger powder Oil as needed ½ tsp cumin seeds
Take maida in a deep bowl, sprinkle salt, and knead it into a dough. Cover it with oil and keep it aside.
Grind soaked moong dal into a coarse paste and keep it aside too.
Heat oil in a pan and saute chillies and spices.
Add coarse moong dal paste and roast the ingredients for 5 minutes. Let the mixture cool off.
Knead the dough and divide it into smaller spheres. Stuff the dough with moong dal mixture.
Roll kachoris and deep-dry them in hot oil.
