Also known as gol gappa, pani batashe, and puchka, pani puri is a popular street delight that is enjoyed all over the country. Here is an easy recipe to make this yummy street food at home.
For Pani: 1/2 cup mint leaves, 3-4 cups coriander leaves, 3 tbsp ginger, green chillies chopped, 1 tsp imli pulp, 1 tsp cumin powder, 1 tsp chaat masala, 1 tsp black salt, 3 cups water, 1/2 cup boondi
For Masala: 1 boiled potato, 1 chopped onion, 1/2 cup boiled chana, 2 tsp red chilli powder, 1 tsp cumin powder, 1 tsp black salt, 1 tsp chaat masala. For Puri: 2 cups Semolina, 1 cup all-purpose flour, salt to taste, ½ cup Warm water, oil for frying
Grind mint leaves, coriander leaves, ginger and green chillies together to make a paste. Pour the paste in a bowl and add imli pulp, cumin powder, chaat masala, black salt and water.
Stir it well and add boondi to the paani. For masala, take boiled potato, chopped onions and boiled chana in a bowl and add red chilli, cumin, black salt and chaat masala to it. Mix well.
For Puri, knead a stiff dough of semolina, all-purpose flour, salt and warm water. Cover it with wet muslin cloth and keep it for rest for 30 minutes.
Roll out the dough and cut it with the help of a round cutter and deep fry them till golden brown. Now, take the puris and fill them with the mixture, pani and serve.
