Monsoon Special Chai Masala: To Add The Extra Kick

Rainy days and masala chai goes hand in hand, isn't it? You know what? You don't have to spend a lot of time in preparing the masala for your chai, as we have brought a quick recipe of chai masala. Store this masala and enjoy whenever you want. TAP TO VIEW the recipe!

Ingredients

1 tbsp fennel seeds 1 tsp cloves  1/2 tsp black pepper  1 tbsp green cardamom  5 to 6 cinnamon sticks 1/2 tsp dried ginger  Handful of rose petals

Step 1

Heat a pan and start roasting the whole spices. 

Step 2

Add fennel seeds, cloves, cardamom and cinnamon sticks. Roast them nicely.

Step 3

Add in dried ginger (if available) and rose petals. Roast for a few more seconds.

Step 4

Let the mixture cool down and transfer it into a blender. Blend into a fine powder.

Step 5

Store the powder/chai masala in an air-tight container and enjoy the monsoon with masala chai!
